Local Moves can be broken down into two catagories Local & Intrastate. Local Moves stay within the city limits of a community while Intrastate moves are moves that go between communities and cross city limits. Arkansas and Oklahoma treat these two types of moves very differently. Oklahoma governs all moves regardless of distance if a state or federally funded road is used. What this means is licenses (also known as Authotity) must be in place for most movers in Oklahoma. Arkansas on the other hand governs only moves that leave the city limits of the city the move originates in. This means a local mover who stays within the city limits is not governed and should you have a problem your only recourse would be the court system. At Hart to Hart Moving we treat all moves the same, our Licenses and Autorities apply in all cases as do our insurance coverages.
You may contact the following agencies to see if your mover has authority to do your move or to verify Hart to Hart Moving Company does.
